Frequently Asked Questions
 

If you have a question about your wedding stationery and the answer isn’t here, please contact us with your enquiry.
 


Can an existing design be made in another colour?
YES – all of our wedding stationery can be reproduced in a colour or card of your choice. We will do our best to match to your chosen colour scheme.


Can we make design changes to existing wedding stationery designs?
YES – we can adapt all our designs to suit your requirements, from a simple change to a complete re-design.



Do you provide envelopes with your wedding invitations?
YES – we supply high quality white or ivory envelopes with all of our wedding invitations. Various coloured envelopes are also available on request at an extra cost.


When should we order our wedding stationery?
We suggest as soon as possible, even if you’re not completely sure what you need. We would normally ask you to place an order 5-6 months before your wedding. This allows time to produce proofs for approval before commencing with your order. However, we can turn things around pretty quickly if we need to so please always ask.


Can we change our order at any time?
YES – your requirements are very likely to change, especially regarding your quantities of items required. This isn’t uncommon and perfectly acceptable.


Can we book with Inspired by Lisa and place an order later?
YES – if you are sure that you would like Inspired by Lisa to make your wedding stationery, but are not yet ready to place an order, then we would recommend that you reserve your place in the diary. We can only fulfil a limited number of weddings per month, so with a small deposit you can secure your place and avoid disappointment at a later date. We regret we are not able to refund you deposit once received.



General Useful Information

Wedding Invitations
We would recommend that you send out your wedding invitations 8-12 weeks before your wedding allowing time for your guests to reply, and for you to confirm your numbers and information with your suppliers. For weddings during holiday periods or weddings abroad we would suggest that you send your invitations as soon as possible. Remember that you only need one wedding invitation per couple or family. We can type your guests name in the invitation at a cost of 25p per invitation.


Evening Invitations
Generally our design ranges offer the same invitation for day and evening. However, if you would prefer a simpler version for your evening guests this can be done for you at your request.



Save the Date
If your wedding falls during a holiday period such as the summer or Christmas months, or you plan to marry abroad, you may wish to send out save the date cards to your guests. We would suggest sending these at least 6-12 months prior to your wedding.


Envelopes
All of our Wedding Invitations and Save the Date cards are supplied with envelopes. We can type your guests address on the envelope at a cost of 35p each.


Reply cards
We recommend providing your guest with a reply card to prompt a speedy reply with the minimum of effort.


Order of Service/Day
Wording for your order of service will be unique to yourselves. All wording needs to be approved by your church, venue or registrar as there are guidelines to follow. Your order of service will be inclusive of 3-4 printed sides. Your names, date and wedding location will be printed on the front, or as one of the printed pages inside the order of service. Please allow one copy per couple, each member of your wedding party, and any individuals that may be attending. We would require your wording to be supplied in an electronic format.


Proofs and Samples
Sample wedding invitations are charged for at the unit cost which will be reimbursed with any subsequent order. Before we commence with your wedding stationery order, we will provide you with a proof wedding invitation for your approval. This will include any design or colour changes and wedding invitation wording based on the information that you have provided. We would also send you a proof for the insert of menus and orders of service/day for your approval. This can be provided by email if preferred. We wouldn’t normally provide proofs for any other item of wedding stationery.


Menu
Please allow 3-4 menus per table of 10. Remember to include vegetarian and children’s options when necessary. Before submitting your information, please confirm the details with your venue first.



Place Names
If you are having arranged seating for your guests, you will require a place name for each guest. We would suggest using your guests Christian and surname to avoid any confusion.
We would require your name list to be supplied in an electronic format.


Table Name/Number
You will require one name or number per table. This is usually produced as a card suitable for a stand. Please confirm with your venue that they provide the stands for displaying as we do not provide them. 


Table Plans
We would recommend a table plan to help with the organisation of your guests. It would normally be displayed on an easel at the entrance to your wedding breakfast room. Please check with your venue to confirm how they would display the table plan for you. Our table plans would normally include your names and wedding date at the top, top table and your remaining tables. We would require all your information to be supplied in an electronic format.


Timescale
Once we have received your order with deposit, we would provide you with a proof wedding invitation and receipt for your order. When this has been approved and signed, work would commence on your order. We would hope to have this complete within 4-6 weeks or as and when you require them. If you require your order sooner, please contact us.


Final wording for your place names, menus, table plan and table names/numbers should be provided no less than 4 weeks prior to your wedding. In order to help us, we would ask you to provide us with the information for each of these items as soon as they become available. You may wish to provide us with the wording and confirm numbers later as and when they have been finalised.



Delivery
Delivery is charged according to the weight of the parcel. This cost will be added to your final invoice. All packages must be signed for upon delivery. If you would prefer to collect your order we are happy to arrange this with you.

Payment
To confirm your order, we ask for a deposit of 50% of the order total. The remainder of your bill will be payable before dispatch of your final package.
